Elysian Events was founded in New Orleans in 2013 by Jen and Brandon, and the first event the couple catered was their own wedding! Since then, our company has continued to build connections with others in the local community and bring people together with our food. Thanks to our employees’ extensive experience in catering and service, we ensure helpful and professional assistance in meeting our clients’ dining needs.
High-Quality, Fresh Foods
Our team puts special care into preparing our dishes with high-quality, local ingredients. For example, our salad offerings change with the seasons. This allows us to partner with local farmers while providing our clients with the freshest ingredients.
We especially pride ourselves on our delectable seafood options, particularly our oyster bars. Louisiana’s oyster farming culture originated in the 1840s when Croatian-Slavonian immigrants began harvesting oysters south of New Orleans. We continue to honor this tradition by serving our clients delicious oysters from the Gulf, West, and East coasts. We also offer other mouth-watering add-ons, including marinated Louisiana crab claws and jumbo Gulf shrimp cocktail. It is our pleasure to continue contributing to the over 300 years of New Orleans culinary history.
Our Service Goes Beyond Food
At Elysian Events, we provide our customers with more than just food. We provide bar service options to our guests as well! Most Louisiana catering companies lack liquor licenses, meaning they can only serve food and non-alcoholic beverages. Since we are licensed to serve alcoholic drinks to our clients, we can provide a more versatile catering experience. Our liquor license also makes booking all of your food and beverage service needs with one company easier, saving you time and stress during event planning.
In addition to our wedding packages, we offer several different bar catering packages to ensure that you find a service that meets your budget, all the while ensuring you get a taste of classic New Orleans flavor. All of our bar packages include access to domestic and local craft beers, allowing you to sample delicious drinks while supporting local breweries.
If you are interested in hosting an event with access to a bar, keep in mind that not all New Orleans venues permit outside beverage catering. However, we have a list of several of our favorite local venues that allow outside beverage catering and that we have had the pleasure of working with in the past.

For Food
On each of our menus, we take care to mark which of our food options are vegetarian and vegan to ensure transparency in our recipes. We will happily collaborate with our clients to adjust pre-existing courses to accommodate other needs, such as being gluten-free. We want everyone to be able to enjoy our meals as they celebrate.

For Drinks
Likewise, we also offer additions and substitutions for our bar services. If you seek any alternatives to our bar menu, please reach out to our staff so we can best meet your beverage needs and preferences. We can accommodate guests who don’t drink alcohol—we have a seasonal mocktail list!—and offer a variety of other non-alcoholic drinks at our bars.

Our catering packages are priced based on a buffet-style dining model, but we can accommodate alternative dining styles, too. We are flexible in providing family-style dining or plated dinner experiences instead of a buffet so that we can best match your event vision.

Elysian Events’ dinnerware reduces our contribution to plastic waste and allows us to take care of our environment.
What’s more, if our clients don’t have plans to take leftover food home with them at the end of their event, we will repackage it and distribute the leftover meals to local community fridges. We pride ourselves on providing quality food to clients and those in need.
