James and Andy’s wedding at the Beauregard-Keyes House in the French Quarter was a celebration filled with love, laughter, and unforgettable moments. Let’s take a closer look at the highlights of their special day.
Guests were welcomed with a glass of sparkling wine as they arrived, setting the stage for the evening. The courtyard buzzed with excitement as Hurricanes and hors d’oeuvres flowed during the cocktail hour. While guests enjoyed the cocktail hour, James and Andy stole a quiet moment for themselves with a sweetheart meal upstairs before joining their guests for the main event. Their entrance was marked by applause and cheers as they shared their first dance, kicking off the festivities in style.
Then, it was time for the buffet to open, which revealed a spread with something for every palate. The meal included a rice bar, herbed buttermilk biscuits, mac-n-cheese, a beignet bar, cochon de lait sliders, and more, which helped satisfy their hunger, fuel the fun, and bring New Orleans classics to the party.
James and Andy included numerous personal touches throughout the event to show their personalities and who they are as a couple. First was the entertainment, which took center stage. Eureka, a fabulous drag queen, offered tarot card readings and a captivating performance to introduce the cake-cutting ceremony. But that’s not all; Pixie also performed a fire dance in the garden, adding an extra magic touch to the evening.
And still, there’s more! In New Orleans, we know that no celebration is complete without a second line, and James and Andy’s wedding was no exception. Led by the Jazzman brass band, guests paraded through the streets, helping spread the wedding joy!
